Just Childcare receives the Food for Life Catering Mark!
We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze Food for Life Catering Mark from the Soil Association for our healthy seasonal menu!
The Catering Mark from the Soil Association guarantees that we feed children with fresh, high-quality seasonal ingredients that have been responsibly sourced.
The Just Childcare menu promises the following to our children:
Our dedicated Catering Manager Mark Webster has worked tirelessly to create a menu that meets these standards. Our four week seasonal menu is served in all of the nurseries in the Just Childcare family, with all meals and snacks freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen by the Nursery Chef.
Mark said, “Providing our children with a nutritionally balance diet using fresh, quality ingredients has always been our number one priority. It’s fantastic to receive recognition for all the hard work that has gone into achieving this.
“The most difficult challenge was ensuring that we could trace our produce back to the source. A lot of work has gone into making sure that we know exactly which UK farms our ingredients come from, which are local to each individual nursery wherever possible.
“The Catering Mark gives families official confirmation that their children are eating outstanding food whilst in our care.”

Mark works very closely with our Nursery Chefs, who share his passion for providing children with the best possible nutritional start in life. Our Nursery Chefs freshly prepare all of the children’s healthy meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

A representative of the Soil Association visited one of the Just Childcare nurseries, Giggles Private Day Nursery in Lytham to officially present the award to Mark, the Nursery Chef Jean and the rest of the Giggles team.
