We Won the NMT Nursery Chef of the Year 2017 Awards!

We’re absolutely ecstatic to announce that one of our amazing chefs has been named the best Nursery Chef in the UK!

Vickie from Park Wood Nursery in Bidston scooped up the prestigious title at the NMT Awards on Saturday 25th November.

In order to win the award, Vickie travelled to London to compete in an exciting cook-off against nursery chefs from all over the UK. She freshly prepared a meal she created specially for our healthy seasonal menu: Homemade Turkey Sliders with a selection of healthy toppings followed by heavenly Coconut Rice Pudding and Berry Compote.

Park Wood Nursery Manager Hannah Mooney said, “We’re ecstatic that Vickie has been singled out as the best Nursery Chef in the UK. She works so hard to provide our children with delicious and healthy food every day. The judges obviously saw the care, attention and passion she puts into her work. It’s great to see her get the recognition she deserves.”

“Giving our children the best possible start in life begins with helping them to make healthy choices now and in the future. Vickie plays a key role in that.”

We were proud as punch to have not one but THREE members of the Just Childcare family shortlisted at the NMT Awards. As well as Vickie, we had Cherubs apprentice Molly and Little Manor Nursery Nurse Gyongyi. Molly was shortlisted for ‘Nursery Apprentice of the Year’ and Gyongyi was shortlisted to win ‘Nursery Nurse of the Year.’

Both Molly and Gyongyi did fabulously well to be shortlisted out of all the apprentices and nursery nurses in the UK and we’re so proud.
