Learning about Outer Space

Our babies looked after Holly the Hamster, making sure her cage was lovely and clean which helped introduced them to caring for animals.

They also had sensory play, where they used mirrors to look at their different facial expressions.

Meanwhile, our toddlers were engrossed in a messy play activity which involved colourful shaving foam. They used their hands to make marks and feel the smooth textures, helping to expand their gross motor and sensory development.

Our pre-school children looked at their mini topic which focused on outer space. They looked at their reflections in mirrors in order to create self-portraits of themselves dressed as astronauts.

These pictures can be found on display in our room, please feel free to come and have a look!
