Apprentices from all over the country were entered to win ‘Nursery Apprentice of the Year’, but only a handful have been shortlisted. Molly has done amazingly well to get this far and we’re so proud of her!

The NMT Awards is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today Magazine, the leading business publication in the childcare industry. The Awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare and celebrate the very best people in the Nursery Sector.

Molly could win a very prestigious award

The next stage of the awards process will involve Molly travelling to London to meet a panel of judges. She will then find out if she has won the award at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton London Metropole on 25th November.

Molly, who is currently studying for her Level 2 childcare qualification, said, “I’ve always known that I wanted to work with children, ever since I was little. One of my favourite subjects at school was Health and Social Care and I particularly enjoyed the child development element.

“I’ve absolutely loved being an apprentice at Cherubs and can feel my confidence growing all the time.

“Providing a fun, stimulating environment for children is so rewarding and I’m lucky to be able to do it within a supportive team.”

Molly has been taking part in the Just Childcare apprenticeship scheme at Cherubs, which offers apprenticeships to young people who demonstrate a real passion for early years care and education. She has been an apprentice at Cherubs since 2016 and has done brilliantly at our nursery ever since.

“Molly has become a valuable member of the Cherubs team”

Janet Silver, Just Childcare’s Apprenticeship Scheme Leader said, “Molly’s passion for working with children was evident when she first came to her interview  and this has continued all throughout her past year with us.

“We are over the moon with the work Molly does and feel very lucky to have her as part of our nursery family. We have our fingers crossed that she wins the award, but we’re so proud of her for getting this far no matter what happens”
