We’ve raised £2015.00 for Alzheimer’s Society!
Wow! What a busy few months of fundraising we’ve had over at Little Acorns Nursery in Atherton. It’s been a real team effort with children, parents and staff all involved in lots of fun events and we are all really proud of our amazing achievement… raising £2015.00 for Alzheimer’s Society!
The Alzheimer’s Society are the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity, a great cause and one that is very close to our hearts.
Starting back in May the nursery began a program of fundraisers that included:
Our nursery welcomed parents to a fun filled Open Evening where we had games and prizes up for grabs. We received lots of raffle prize donations from the local businesses of Atherton, which were raffled off in aid of the good cause. We had a visit from The Body Shop who gave us a wonderful demo of products, donating a percentage of sales to Alzheimer’s Society. A big thank you to everyone who got involved!
The Little Acorn’s Nursery team threw a fun garden party which included stalls, games and plenty of ice cream in the sun all in aid of the good cause! We even had a visit from a mobile farm who taught us lots about different animals.
The nursery children were sponsored to put on a musical medley, each of the rooms had their own song which they learnt with the help of our amazing staff and parents. With a proud audience of teddys, parents, grandparents and carers it was a very enjoyable week. A massive well done to all the children at Little Acorns, Atherton!
Well done to our fantastic staff at the nursery who kindly donated cakes. The children also made some tasty biscuits and cakes, which went down a treat!
A Grand total of £2015.00!
