Merry Christmas from Little Stars Nursery!
We’re having a fabulous Christmas at our Glossop nursery and we can’t wait to tell you all about it. To help spread some festive cheer, we thought we’d share some fun photos from this December.
First, we decorated the nursery
The staff and children at Little Stars all worked very hard to make beautiful decorations for our nursery. We even made an amazing gingerbread kitchen where we made real gingerbread houses!
We painted stockings and snowflakes and decorated our very own Christmas trees. To help make the nursery feel extra cosy, we created a pretend fireplace. There, we all sat around to read festive stories and learn Christmas carols.
Our grandparents joined in the fun at Little Stars
We enlisted the help of our lovely grandparents, who came in to help us make tree decorations and Christmas artwork. Our grandparents also helped us to make reindeer food, which we will sprinkle in front of our homes so Santa’s reindeer have something to eat when they pop by.
Our Glossop Nursery Family Fun Day
We always try to do as much as we can for charity, especially during the festive season. This month we decided to raise money for Reuben’s Retreat at our magical Christmas market. Lots of people from Glossop joined in, setting up gift stalls and donating wonderful gifts to our raffle.
When Santa heard we were raising money for Reuben’s Retreat, he decided to lend a helping hand. He took time out of his busy schedule to come and meet the children – and some very excited grown-ups too!
We raised a fantastic £224 for the charity and would like to thank everyone who took part for their hard work and generosity.
Off to Glossop to spread some festive cheer
We visited our local library to deliver some of the beautiful Christmas cards we made! After putting on our warm clothes, we walked to the library to read some brilliant books and sing Christmas carols.
There was still much more festive cheer to go round, so we visited Beechwood House Residential Home too! We loved meeting the residents and staff there, and really enjoyed performing all the Christmas carols we’ve been learning.
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at Little Stars!
