Little Stars Ofsted Report is ‘Good’!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have received a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted! Our latest report reflects the wonderful learning environment our staff, children and their families have created together.

Little Stars Ofsted Good Rating

Good! The children were very excited when we told them about the report.

There were lots of positive comments about Little Stars in the inspector’s report, which commended our approach to learning.

“The staff accurately assess children’s learning and development needs. They plan stimulating and imaginative activities to engage children’s interests and promote their curiosity.” – Little Stars Ofsted Report November 2016

Imaginative ways to develop learning

The inspector wrote: “Staff help children and babies develop their curiosity and explore the world around them.

“They encourage children to use the skills they are acquiring in imaginative ways. For example, the children practice mathematical skills by digging in the garden for hidden wooden ladybirds and count and match the number of spots on their wings.”

The inspector also commented on the healthy lifestyle we promote here at Little Stars, saying, “They help them (the children) to make healthy choices and to try new food and be physically active.”

We were delighted to have the healthy homemade meals we serve at the nursery recognised! It was also nice to hear that the inspector approved of the many physical activities we take part in both indoors and out. We even give our children the opportunity to learn football skills in Footy Totz!

A huge thank you to our parents and carers

The Little Stars Ofsted report noted the wonderful relationships we have with our parents and carers, saying, “Children and their parents get to know their key person well. This helps children to grow in confidence and feel secure.”

We’d like to say thank you to all of our parents and carers, who are a huge part of the happy, positive environment we have here at Little Stars! This news has been a wonderful end to a great year, and we’re now looking forward to what Christmas and the New Year will bring.
