Our team has one mission: to nurture, inspire and have fun every day!

We provide our little ones with exciting learning activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. When your child joins Mulberry Bush, they won’t just be learning numeracy and mathematics.  They’ll be cooking, gardening, dancing and den-building their way to becoming a confident learner.

Our approach to childcare and education uses lots of ‘loose part play’.  This means we often use natural resources and real-life objects instead of plastic toys. We use this to inspire imaginative play and encourage our children to be curious about the world around them.

At Mulberry Bush we place each child at the centre of everything we do, taking their interest and needs and using them to inspire stimulating and exciting learning. We’re proud of the cosy ‘home from home’ environment we’ve created at our nursery. A feeling of “Hygge” fills all our rooms, providing laid-back nurturing spaces that encourage communication and language.

Outdoor play every day

In addition to our bright and airy playrooms, Mulberry Bush Nursery Gledhow has fantastic outdoor areas. Your child will be able to play in the fresh air every day, exploring sand, exploring climbing equipment and doing a spot of gardening. In addition to our Outdoor play we offer sessions based around outdoor play where children are encouraged to bring Wellies on “Wellie Wednesday when we celebrate a day of outdoor play and explore the outdoor environment

A healthy, happy start

As well as giving your children the best in education, we’ll provide them with delicious high-quality food! Our healthy meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen each day, using quality ingredients. Because our food is freshly prepared, we can also alter our menu to suit any special dietary requirements.

Visiting Mulberry Bush Nursery Gledhow

Our lovely nursery is right next door to Gledhow Primary School, with easy access to Gledhow and Roundhay.  This means we’re able to go on lots of exciting trips into our community, we tend to try and do this every fortnightly even if this is a walk in our locality. We offer a monthly newsletter and post on our nursery Facebook site daily as well as hosting parent events in the setting monthly!
